Stripping nappies?!

Postby flutterby » Wed Jun 25, 2008 12:34 am

I'm pretty sure some of my nappies need stripping, I recently bought some preloved nappies, and they make my eyes water everytime I take them off, I'm pretty sure it's nothing to do with anything I'm doing as it is only these 2 preloved nappies, only problem is I'm not exactly sure what stripping involves, is it just lots of rinses until all the bubbles are gone or is there more to it than that??

TIA

there are loads of different ways
my personal favourite is to wash at 60 with 1-2 tab of bio powder and then rinse and rinse and rinse till all bubbles are gone.

others do a prewash with washing up liquid and then wash at 60 with nothing and then rinse and rinse

others soak with vinegar and then lots of rinses

and i recently read on BC of someone who soaks her nappies overnight with calgon and then washes as normal
