Hello. new comer and need advice

Hello.
I managed to pick up some Motherease one size which are very similar. I've found them to be quite short for my 20 month old and very wide in the crotch.
I don't think I'll use them with my new baby until he's much older due to the width. I also don't find them very absorbant.
Loads of people seem to love them though so I could be the odd one out (or have odd shaped children.).
