Hello from Wallsend.

Postby Catz » Fri Jun 18, 2010 10:34 pm

Hi everyone, I'm Senga and I'm ttc my first. I'm 34 years old and getting married in 3 weeks. I am looking into using cloth nappies instead of disposables. I was thinking of using either muslin squares or the bimble/bumble with wraps. Then move onto bumgenius after a couple of weeks/months.

Hi and Welcome. I'd recommend trying some nappies out before you spend too much! Bimbles and bumbles are good for newborns, as is the bambeasy newborn, and definitely a 2 part system is best, but there are lots of others as well. Musins are great for the first few days too, until full feeds are being taken! And TBH, you still can't beat terry squares, although bamboo rather than cotton are slimmer fitting, and stay softer.

So it would be better if i got a few bimbles or bumbles to start off with?

 Welcome to the tree! I'm sure you'll get lots of useful advice here :D

I'd try couple of fitteds and pockets for the early days, then you can see what works for you before buying more.
