Newbie to forums

Postby Bobby-Lyns-Things » Thu Sep 16, 2010 10:50 am

Hi all My name is Anna and I'm a newbie to forums, so appologie if I'm slow with everything its all so complicated and time consuming at first especially when you have little ones. I'm sure the more I use them the easier it will get. (I hope!)

I'm a mum to 3, a son Kris who is 13 a daughter Freya who is 4 and another little girl Robyn who has just turned 1
Not really working much at the moment but am looking for work, just trying to decide what to do as I have spent most of my adult life so far bringing up kids

Dont really have time for many hobbies however, I have always had a love for arts & crafts so am looking forward to seeing all the talented mums on here and sharing tips and stories.

I couldn't find the list of "incomprehensible nonsense either when I first started (Mr CM could we a copy of it in the welcome newcomers bit so they can all see?).

Have a look in the DIY section Anna, there's plenty of crafty people on here for you to join in with :D What sort of crafts do you do? I love scrapbooking and cardmaking, I've just started making clothes too as so many people inspired me on here to have a go :D Look forward to chatting with you.

Had a quick look at the DIY section and feel shamed  I think i'm more of an ideas person, I'm always thinking about things I could do but never actually get round to doing them
I love everything art & crafty think thats half my problem as I have no real passion for just one thing.
I helped my mum make some curtains for my baby girls room, then made a few stuffed personalised fabric hearts to use as gift tags for my elder daughters friends parties.
Dont get me wrong I enjoy doing it, but just need a little bit of a push to get going. Also I love art and have done a few pieces for the babies rooms thats about it at the moment but I'm sure with a bit of motivation I might get round to doing some more. :) Good luck with the clothes making :sewing:

My problem is I have too many ideas and not enough spare time in the day with three kids running riot :giggle: I want to make so much coming up to Christmas I don't really know where to start :D

Hi Anna,
welcome to the tree
I'm new to all this, too....so handy to find out there's a translation list on here....I've spent the past week reading and rereading posts until I could guess what some of the abbreviations are :giggle: Good to know I'm not too old to pick up another language!
