We're getting chooks yay

We've been looking into it for ages and have decided to bite the bullet and get ourselves set up! So we have a coop so far

Going to order a new water holder and a food holder closer to when we're getting them (will prob be in July) and just need to find a place to get us some chickens from now! I am so excited.

Ooh, that is exciting - keep us posted.

I know @Allie keeps chickens, so she should have answers if you have questions.

They are local to us but the delivery all over the country in their van we got ours from there and the starter set up pack, they are very helpful and give lifetime support: they also do a chicken keeping course at their farm (not sure if you are near lamcashire? They are in Preesall

DH is picking up our eglu today and getting some bark to put down what was the dog run. Then we'll be getting our chooks next month . I can't wait

@happytails we're just outside Glasgow so a fair bit away. I really want a silkie but are they ok to be kept in with larger normal hens? We have a good sized garden and the coop has a run attached plus we're going to chicken proof the garden.
Going to have a Google about and find some hopefully near us.
