Postage rates going up again :(

New price list so according to that:

Packet - Over 353mm (L) x 250mm (W) x 25mm (D)
0–750g £2.70 £2.20
751–1000g £4.30 £3.50

First and second class prices there boo!

See I don't think that's too bad - £2.20 2nd class for up to 750g that's gotta cover 2 nappies atleast?

Hopefully yeah, I dont like to send 2nd class though as have had stuff go missing sometimes. But may have to rethink it to keep costs down

Recorded is 95p on top of that though - so atm I normally pay £2.49 for 2nd class recorded - now it will be £3.15. Really not worth it for most preloved nappies

Postage wil be going up on new nappies etc., too - lots of places don't charge actual postage costs but a flat rate which often works out more expensive unless you are spending say over £50 a pop, so it will still be less expensive to buy preloved nappies

As a percentage increase it is a lot. However, I would think about if it's value for money and, if the problems actually stem from them not charging high enough prices in the past, hence the huge pension deficit they have.

We have a much higher population though so demand is more (more people employed, more logistics etc...)and some of the services have to be subsidised such as Highlands, Islands and NI which all fall under the same rates.

RM is still unbelievably cheap. To send a 500g parcel within Australia costs $11.45 (£7.50 on today's exchange rate). To send a 500g parcel from here to the UK costs $30 (£19.67). It's cheaper for me to buy from the UK than it is within Aus, because of the postage.
