Lots of questions.

Okay, so I'll number the questions, then it's easy to see what's been answered and what's not.
I'm quite new to this cloth nappy stuff, only have a couple atm.

1. Do you need to pre-wash wraps?

2. How much water do you keep in your box of wipes?

3. I was planning to use tea tree drops for wipes, but then read you shouldn't use lavender or tea tree for boys because of hormone things or something??? Someone explain? Do you think it's okay to use tea tree on boys?

4. How do you organise your wipes, do you put clean ones at the bottom of the box to rotate?

5. How often to change water in wipes box?

6. Is it best to have a full BTP set of nappies (sized ones) before you start, or to just buy what you like as you go along?

7. Talk to me about flongies?

8. How much is you stash worth/have you spent on cloth nappies?

Thank you =)

1. Do you need to pre-wash wraps?
No

2. How much water do you keep in your box of wipes?
I fill it to about half way

3. I was planning to use tea tree drops for wipes, but then read you shouldn't use lavender or tea tree for boys because of hormone things or something??? Someone explain? Do you think it's okay to use tea tree on boys?

I'm not sure on this one. I work with essential oils but I am not an aromatherapist & I have not heard or read in my books on essential oils anything about this. The most you will be using is 2 drops so I wouldn't worry about it as the essential oils are well diluted.

4. How do you organise your wipes, do you put clean ones at the bottom of the box to rotate?

I keep my wipes dry & just stick into the box as needed

5. How often to change water in wipes box?

Every day to day & a half.

6. Is it best to have a full BTP set of nappies (sized ones) before you start, or to just buy what you like as you go along?

Buy what you like as you go along. As baby grows, his ability to wee grows too. What works now might not work later on.

7. Talk to me about flongies?

Flongies are fab. Put them on over the fitted nappy (no wrap), use all day (or all night) & then throw into the normal clothes wash. Simples!

8. How much is you stash worth/have you spent on cloth nappies?

I'd rather not think about it  Tbh I bought most of my nappies second hand & sold them on again for the same price so I would think that the most I have spent on what I still own is £250

Thank you =)

I'm starting using cloth with my toddler, a power wee-er so I think we are up against the worst it's going to get at the moment! He can soak a disposible out in 3-4 hours regularly.

I believe it is rare and I can't remember the name but you mean the enlarged breast tissue thing. Personally I would use it A it's rare and B it isn't permanent.

4. How do you organise your wipes, do you put clean ones at the bottom of the box to rotate?

I keep my wipes dry

5. How often to change water in wipes box?

When I use to use them wet I use to change then water and wash the wipes everyday but it got silly washing clean wipes so that's why I started keeping them dry

6. Is it best to have a full BTP set of nappies (sized ones) before you start, or to just buy what you like as you go along?
I'd buy what you find works for you but I have bought two BTP packs over the tears and never really got on with either

7. Talk to me about flongies?

I've never used Flongies but I love wool and it's a slippery slope :)

8. How much is you stash worth/have you spent on cloth nappies?

Oh god 100's if bow 1000's but j have had two in cloth and I love customs.

1. Do you need to pre-wash wraps?

No

2. How much water do you keep in your box of wipes?

Never used one, i just wet wipes as and when I need them.

3. I was planning to use tea tree drops for wipes, but then read you shouldn't use lavender or tea tree for boys because of hormone things or something??? Someone explain? Do you think it's okay to use tea tree on boys?

I just use plain old water, never had to use anything else

4. How do you organise your wipes, do you put clean ones at the bottom of the box to rotate?

Keep dry ones in a wee wet bag and wet ones go in with the dirty nappy

5. How often to change water in wipes box?

6. Is it best to have a full BTP set of nappies (sized ones) before you start, or to just buy what you like as you go along?

BTP tend not to fit newborns, William who was bor at 9lb 2oz didn't fit a btp nappy for a good few weeks, we used xs and small

7. Talk to me about flongies?

Fleece trousers/crop and soakers are great, a cheap alternative to wool that can just be put in the machine

8. How much is you stash worth/have you spent on cloth nappies?
No idea lol
