Making nappy inserts

I want to make some inserts for my pocket nappies.
Was thinking about a bamboo fleece, hemp combination.
What would be your perfect insert ?

I made loads. Never more than 3 layers or it takes too long to dry. I liked the hemp jersey for they toughness but also hemp terry and my all time fav was bamboo terry in an hourglass shape.

I was thinking something like a prefold but then from bamboo with some hemp in the middle. When folded I would have more layers but it would be easier to dry. ( My DD has finnaly started to outpee the microfibre inserts we use ).

Oh yes actually, I also made some big rectangular ones with one layer of bamboo and 2 of hemp that I could fold in 3 and they were very good too.

I bought a meter of hemp and made 6 or 7 long inserts double thickness but that when folded gave 6 layers, they were brilliant! I think if I did again I'd use bamboo as well. They dried so quickly!
