Which do you prefer?

Postby little1 » Sun Oct 21, 2012 6:09 pm

Hi, my ds is now 2 weeks old (approx 8.5lb) and is proving to be a heavywetter. I am quickly finding that our fitteds and wool work best so shall be selling on our aio's fairly shortly.

I am looking at getting more sized fitteds but he is growing so quickly i would like something cheap and functional for now and will buy some prettier ones once we are in mediums. I have some prefolds which work well but dh can't do them  .

so which is better:

motherease sandies
tb stretchies
bimbles
or other suggestions welcome (not little lambs as don't like the velcro on these) must be fairly cheap and not too bulky if possible.

We liked Sandies but didn't try the other 2.

I used ME Sandy's (Bamboo) for night time and they worked a treat. Also used Bimbles during the daytime and loved them as they are super cute but don't have the same weight range. We grew out of our Bimbles fairly quick but I do have chunkier kiddies!

I rate tb stretchies, we use LLs aswell and like them but know what you mean about the Velcro. How about diddy diapers?

anyone know how bulky are the sandies on a younger baby as compared to ll's and tb stretch (we have a few of these already)??

I used Sandy's from day one and I found them less bulky compared the Bimbles and LL (as had them too). The fit was good as you can adjust the leg for chubbier babies. My LO was 7lb 12 but then lost 1lb with sickness and I found them fine. Not used TB though.

If you are looking for something to last then I would get size 2 TB stretchies which if you take the booster down and popper down the front are a good fit from 9lb (my youngest is 7 weeks old and about 9-10lb and I tried one on her this week and it was a good fit). I like ME sandys too - I would say that the bamboo sandys and TB stretchies are probably about the same absorbency and neither are a bulky fit.
