favorite fabric?

so, what's your favorite fabric, and why? i prefer a fleece inner to minkee, for its stay-dry-ness, and i love a minkee outer... but i really want an animal-print nappy for dd (it's a gaping hole in our collection ), and i'm leaning towards a wee notions snow leopard velboa. (or maybe a blueberry os/ss jaguar? eh.) but i haven't tried velboa yet (have velvet, viscose, and minkee). how does it hold up? and what's the best for not wicking?

if you were ordering a new nappy (or just did, lol), what would you pick?

I prefer Minkee fabric as it seems to not pick up all the fluff from other nappies/inserts.

Velboa tends to end up looking quite bobbly fairly quickly from my experience.

I'd probably go for a nappy made from Minkee. I also think it is slightly more reliable than Velboa when it comes to wicking although there isn't much between them.

I'd buy an Upsy Daisy, in fact I am hoping to put in an order soon. Although Wee Notions are nice nappies their lead time is rather long at the moment. Funky Nappies are fab too, I have bought loads in the past but I don't think Jo is well at the moment so the shop is closed to orders.

Mmm, that's what I was worried about - velboa looks so silky, but I don't want to end up being disappointed. I bought a preloved nappy a while ago that I think was meant to be velboa, but it actually looks just like bobbly fleece now! I think Blueberry are the only ones who do an animal print minky I like, though (not much choice out there).

I do like both my Wee Notions and Upsy Daisies on dd - Wee Notions seem to be on a break but will be stocking soon, and Upsy Daisy has a sale on... argh!

I have a cow-print Velboa pocket from WeeNotions, which I bought pre-loved. It's not gone bobbly at all.

I am a fitteds girl, but do like minkee, have just ordered a few yards of the gelato and the colours and softness are beautiful.
For fitteds I guess bamboo velour would be a fav

I was strictly a fitteds girl too, until I caught sight of a minkee WeeNotions. I probably still would be, if I hadn't had a girl!

I love OBV too, and cotton velour... most of my fitted stash is now Swaddlebees, great fit on dd!

I've just seen that Wee Notions are now stocking a jaguar minkee - I do like the snow leopard velboa though! Anybody else have velboa opinions?

And while I'm at it, OS or large for a 20-lb 12-month-old? Which is likely to fit longer?
