I got muslins and terries from Nest Natural Parenting Store. I like MuslinZ.
We've got 2 Nature Babies bamboo terries and 5 bright bots cotton terries in various colours. The cotton terries dry really quickly but are bigger than the bamboo terries so are slightly more bulky.
If you do get muslins and terries, don't forget some nappi nippas, far easier to use than nappy pins.

Thanks again everyone xxx

I was exactly the same! Cloth nappies were the one thing I really enjoyed shopping before ahead of time (and I'd sworn I wasn't getting anything until we got to V-day, then I saw a couple of sales and...) Try to find some of my old posts where I list my stash from before Junior was born.

Of course I've bought lots more since :giggle:  but I'm sure I had lots more than you, and it didn't feel too much, what with the stuff I ended not using. I also made sure I had a few things that were birth-to-potty, just in case I had a fast-growing whopper who outgrew newborn stuff in a fortnight (didn't happen that way, but you never know).

ETA: On muslins, I also like muslinZ (got them from kittykins) and Ikea ones get good reviews.

Thanks for these - really hadn't considered muslins for actual nappies. People seem to be in two camps regarding newborns from reading online - the people who recommend 2 parters for really good containment and the people who recommend something quick and easy as they need to be changed so regularly anyway.

I guess again it depends on the baby. If you're lucky enough to have one that sleeps a lot then do you wake them to changes them? If you don't, wouldn't they be better with maximum containment? Thanks again, will get some Muslinz.
