Have you tried the pop'n'gro wraps? they work really well with all my nappies so far, and stop pooplosions as well.

There were only a few nappies that would last DS3 when he was teeny. DnF, GP, OWW and MbA and even then it was only 2hrs as he was a mega wetter. I used thirsties wraps or wool. The weeing did calm down a lot though as he got older and was being weaned :D

i don't find sandies last very long at all so we always boost them as fit and containment are good. i agree with @confusinglady that you have to be vigilant about them sticking out though. actually, i boost all of our newborn nappies except tots old style bamboozles. all that milk makes them wee loads!
