New born wraps and night nappies?

Postby scarlet » Sun Aug 04, 2013 11:18 am

I have made a couple of newborn soakers for Bao bei and have some tots wraps but they seem huge , just wondering what wraps you would suggest for a newborn. I mainly have green panda's in the fitted stash plus a few didy's and holdings landing.
I also wondered if anyone used a dedicated night nappy at night or just used a normal nappy?
I'm sure this has been asked before but couldn't find much info, I wasn't sure if it may be a good idea to have a special newborn section in the nappy topics , may be helpful for new members as well! I know when your first starting out it can be a minefield so if all the topics on newborn nappies ect were in one section that may simplify it a little??

I just used an absorbant normal nappy-little gumnut/puddlekins i think until I used small night time ones at about 6 weeks plus when sleep was getting longer. Before then they'd just get soiled so I felt specific night newborn ones werent worth the expense. I know others have used them in the very early days-perhaps buy a couple and see how baby is? X

I used small nature babies wraps as they poppered down even smaller and were nice and soft. I found motherease a bit stiff.

We had bummis super bright wraps in newborn and small and just used normal daytime nappies overnight until he started to sleep longer as he'd generally need changing at each feed.-

I have thirsties duo size 1, some soakers and tots bots size 0 and yes the tots bots seem bigger.
I used thirsties duo size 1 with dd2 and loved them, it does depend on what you have under them though. They were great for diddys, prefolds, old style bamboozles but were rubbish over small sized motherease sandys as the little leg bits would stick out. Are green panda like those? Xx

Leon has been in wool since day one :) really glad about that don't know why lol , just because :)

Leon has always been a feed and straight back to sleep baby so we used absorbent day fitted early on like dunk and fluff but very quickly moved to heavy wetter nappies and night nappies because whilst he wakes often he doesn't want to be fussed x
