Cement like nappies

i just don't know whats happeninh to my nappys but they are like cement so hard and even washing strip washing aren't changing them it happening to fitted and pockets, if it keeps going i'm going to be out of nappies si i have to chuck them away

Ive heard rain water can help soften them up? No problems with supply either lol!

I find that they are rough unless I tumble them

We have horribly hard water in London and if I don't tumble them they are quite hard and rough. I tend to chuck the nappies in for a quick tumble after drying them on the airer.

Is it the washing powder? Ive never heard of nappies dping that before?
