Help

Postby scarlet » Sun Jan 19, 2014 9:35 am

Hi ladies ,
Sorry I haven't been about much been a very crazy few months here! Rafferty is 13 weeks today and a very long boy for his age. Wearing quite a lot of 6-12m clothes!
We are having major nappy issues , he is such a heavy wetter we get leaks with every nappy. Which as you can imagine is a right pain!
I need some advice on what to try next / what works on a super heavy wetter.
He is mainly wearing fitteds and have used pul , wool and fleece wraps which he leaks through all. The other problem is larger thicker nappies make his bum huge and he is already in such large clothes. Not only would trying anything bulkier nappy wise mean a whole new nappy buying but also a whole new wardrobe!
Ideally a pocket nappy would probably suit us best , I have tried a couple and even putting a wrap over the top.
Any suggestions would be welcome , just a shame as I enjoyed using cloth so much with Pearl. But it's stressing me out a little with Rafferty !
Xx

 lovely!
I guess the first questions are what pockets are you using? What are you stuffing them with and how long do the last before leaking?

I re-read your post..,
What fitteds do you have?

L went through a super stupid heavy wetter phase from 3-5.5 months but has backed off now to being a medium - heavy wetter.

I took to adding an easy peasy hemp folded in half to the front of his nappies which added a lot of absorbency with very little bulk.

I would try boosting with hemp tbh, it hold loads of wee for very little bulk. If it only the front of nappies that are soaked the fold the booster to the front. EP are pretty cheap new and there are often pre loved ones around too.

I found at that age almost all our nappies leaked unless changed every 2hrs. How often are you changing him?
