I think that the close pop in nappy would be worth a try. You can get boosters as well as really good night time inserts.

Little lamb pockets with two bamboo boosters but these last two hours max, fitteds we have are made by amber and LLS which are both much better and LLS wool outer for nights

I have always preferred bamboo terry squares and wool covers for the pre-weaned stage. I just find a 2 part system so much more efficient, and the terry squares dry so quickly. Is the wool you've used properly lanolised? It may be worth giving them a re-treatment. As long as you have sufficient absorbency underneath I've never had a problem with well lanolised wool leaking.

Definitely an age thing, M was a very heavy wetter at that age. We mainly used DnF, OWW, Green Panda with hemp and zorb boosters. Zorb is also great for adding absorbency without bulk.

Tiny nippers do really slim trifold hemp boosters. They are great for adding absorbancy but not much bulk.

Have you tried Bambooty's? I've read good reviews and I'm tempted to try some for Phoebe.
