Bumgenius aplix fail

Our bumgenius nappies are no longer sticky - help!

They aren't that old (in the grand scheme of things) yet the tabs at the front don't really stick to the aplix over the tummy, which has led to some minor nappy emergencies.

I've cleaned all the fluff out of the aplix and they've been through a strip wash, but no better.

What else can I do?

Mine didn't actually fail bt looked pretty bad very quickly. I seem to remember attempting fixing with a comb :giggle:

Joël has one sat in his pile ready to fix the elastic (we haven’t bought a kit just some appropriate elastic as we have a few to fix) and that went really quickly. I won't be getting any of them for my collection this time round!

I ended up converting mine to poppers so I could use them for Lachlan as the applix was useless by the time Ewan PT'd

I think I may convert to poppers, it might be easier.

I'm sure i read somewhere that a tumble dry can bring aplix back to life? Maybe worth a google?

I think that is more the PUL - it can help reseal it - I wrote about it ages ago when I researched it - I'll see if I can find the info. I dont' think it would help aplix (it may but just can't think how physically iykwim) - combing can be worth a go and can perk it up.
