So sent james up the attic and look what we've found!

Only problem is some are looking pretty grotty. Erin had terrible eczema so we used a really gentle washing powder. Any ideas on how we can get them looking brighter/less stained? Also velcro nappies that have fluff ingrained in the velcro?

This isn't all of them, we have a few night time nappies and wraps too.

Oh and they need softening a bit but obviously can't use softner?! any ideas?

Just found the washing forum for stripping nappies, going to give the dishwasher tablet a go and maybe some direct scrubbing with fairy too!

If you can get them out in some sunshine that will get rid of stains. I used to sit with a pin and pick fluff out of the velcro xx

I think the dishwasher option sounds really harsh. I'd honestly try with a proper bio powder, full strength, even add some vanish just to get them really lovely and bright and then rinse, rinse, rinse until no bubbles then put them out in the sun, you'll be surprised how clean they come up. If that fails I'd move onto the dishwasher one! Aplix as Lyndsay said a pin, or a fine comb to get the bits out!

I think you only started quite late with Erin? That is excellent as you'll be able to get lots of gorgeous NB fluff

haha no not yet am way too tired in the evenings!!

Sadly have work to do this morning BUT I do work from home so might stick a load in now plus the sun is shining!

Yeah we started at about 8 months with Erin. I have 2 random new baby ones with bambino mio wraps, no idea where they came from?!

Right I've been to the co-op, I've got some Bio powder and Vanish and the first load is in!!

Most my pocket nappies are fuzzi bunz medium. I loved pocket nappies for ease but can't find pocket nappies for newborn?!

Lil Joeys by Rumparooz are quite a good newborn pocket/AIO http://www.funkymonkeypants.com/Rumparo ... p_542.html I preferred fitteds before mine started solids as containment is better. I used them with wool over the top.
