I'm interested to find out what problems you experienced when first starting out with cloth nappies and what you felt the biggest concern you had was. You don't have to have been using them for a long time to be able to answer this one!

Her bum went bright red with the first cloth that went on her! I think she just needed some time to adjust because she is ok now (thankfully) but the only cream I had at the time was sudocrem so I had to run out and get something else

Eek, I think that would make me more nervous about using cloth than thinking about leaks.

Agree! What worked well for many of the ones we asked did NOT for us :giggle: glad I did take the advise of trying different kinds and figuring out what worked for us

Being cross at myself that I hadn't done it with Josh working out how much money I wasted and wishing I had!!

No honestly I found it a really easy transition, a friend of mine where we lived before had been a Nappy Lady in the UK and she had a baby 5 months older than Rémy so I bought lots of preloved from her as well has lots of stuff to borrow while I worked it all out and always available to help with anything. I was terrified of doing night time but within a week of being home I'd happily swapped over then as well and I never really had many leak issues or anything so it was pretty easy sailing! I did get some odd looks / comments from French people as they really hadnt' started using them much back then!
