Is minkee a stay-dry layer?

I can see on WN that you can have minkee on the inside, does it work the same as microfleece? Does it make the nappy quite bulky?

There's been a few posts about this recently, I'll find em!

can't find them, I would say it is stay dry, and not at all bulky, I think all but 1 of my WNs have minkee inner!

Thanks Hanna,i'll take a look for the other posts. I assume it must be stay-dry otherwise there'd be little point having it, it won't absorb anything would it?

I don't have any nappies with minkee inners, but I know that when I wash my minkee pockets they are always virtually dry when I take them out of the machine, so they don't appear to absorb anything.

Hmm, i've seen a couple of the threads and everyone seems to think minkee works, i'm skeptical! Maybe I just don't like change!

Yup, because it is polyester it doesnt absorb moisture like a natural fabric would do.

Have to admit that I've avoided it just 'cos' too. No reason for it at all really.
