Wicking is when moisture is drawn up from the inside of the nappy to the outer - it only happens with absorbent fabrics like cotton, but not with fleece.

Felting is when wool kind of matts together, either because it has been washed too hot or cold, or through lots of use. Some people felt the crotches of their woolies manually by rubbing them, to increase the effectiveness in that area.

Wicking is dampness from a nappy and felting is when woolies go all thick like they do when they have been washed in too hot water, a bit of felting in woolies makes them bomb proof though. x
