Aplix or snaps........

As I'm fairly new to cloth I was wondering what people find the better option: aplix or snaps? I want to start building up my nappy stash (after Xmas) and would like to hear back from you lovely ladies who've been using cloth for awhile.

Most of my current nappies are aplix and I find I can get a better fit with it than the one snapped nappy I have. However, I can see the aplix deteriorating over time whereas snaps are more hard-wearing.

What do people find works best for them?

Ours are all side snaps. We had real problems with a) Aplix deteriorating and b) Bella undoing the aplix and doing streaks around the house

But, aplix does have it's uses. It can be easier to get a snug fit with aplix when a baby is young and changing shape very quickly. Once the growth stabilises a bit, snaps are usually easier and neater.

i find snaps last longer, applix dies after a while and loses its grip

i prefer my aplix because its quick to get on alister hes such a wriggly baby and OH prefers them too, but yes they do wear out in time i do like my side snaps tho

What Tanya said. Once Iris had learned how to undo aplix, as far as she was concerned, nappies were there to be taken off. But aplix is a lot more adjustable than poppers, and I found it quite easy to get a good fit on my skinny minnie with aplix, whereas poppers sometimes meant leg gape.

I much prefer snaps and have sold all of our aplix stuff - I hated aplix getting stuck to stuff in the wash and it looks shabby relatively quickly imo.

I liked aplix for size 1s but now I don't have any aplix, all poppers here!

Hi, i really love my BBOS pockets which are aplix, i have just sold my last WNOS pocket which was front snap,just found it too fiddly.
As for my fitteds, my newborn/size 1 were all aplix but i am now growing to love side snaps, again, front poppers are a no no.

I prefer snaps, but as I didn't use them with E I don't know what I'll prefer once changing nappies becomes a mini battle.
