Nappies and vanish powder?

Postby gilbertandmartha » Mon Jul 05, 2010 1:45 pm

DH did the nappy wash yesterday and they came out smelling lovely (the best ever actually), so when I quizzed him as to what he had used he said the normal amount of powder and a small bit of vanish powder.

I'm thinking that because it was so effective its probably something I shouldnt be using :giggle:

any thoughts?

:giggle: the vanish works by dissolving biological things like blood, urine, poop etc, so yeah i guess it would work well. i use it sometimes. not sure if would affect the nappies fabric if you used it all time? dont know. prob pretty bad for the environment too. but im not losing any sleep about using it

If you're using Vanish it will probably be cheaper to just use a premium brand bio powder rather than two seperate products...

Ariel Bio - the biological agents work very well on biological stains like food, sweat, blood, poo etc and it also contains the bleaching agents that Vanish does.

To be honest I tried Vanish powder once and Found that Ariel works better!
