The blueberry mf/hemp one is enough for Finn at the moment, with the hemp at the bottom. In a bumgenius it's similar, the mf insert that comes with the nappy, then an Easy Peasy hemp insert beneath it. I've never really bothered with folding more at the front, although I suppose at night and nap times it might help if your ds is a tummy sleeper. Perhaps if you're adding some bamboo (or a cheap microfibre cleaning cloth folded also gives more layers that absorb quickley), you could place that extra layer towards the front of the nappy and see if that helps.
