Cloth in winter

Postby emmalala » Sun Nov 21, 2010 11:06 pm

How is everybody finding using cloth nappies in winter? I am struggling a bit with them atm. He's flooding them all and getting cold with being wet so he's wearing disps if we go out and cloth in the house
I have a dryer so drying them isn't an issue for me. Maybe it's time to ditch the fitted for some pockets :(

Nope, not noticed any difference here ... we use a mixture of fitteds (Fri - Mon when he's at home with me or DH) and Pockets/AIO's when he's with my Mum or the CM (Tue-Thur)

Are not able to boost them? Possibly with zorb!

my issue is drying time as we don't have a dryer, and dd soaking through everything quickly... so i've bought a machine and will make zorb boosters to help the wet hopefully without adding to the drying time

We use pockets in the day and haven't had any problems. We did have some drying problems about a month ago, but now the heating is on we're ok again. I thought fitteds were supposed to be better than pockets at not leaking?! Not sure though.

Emma, it sounds like you have a heavy wetter on your hands, but have you stripped the nappies in case a build up is making them less absorbent?

It might be worth trying some zorb as other have suggested, as you might still find that pockets need super boosting.

And don't be ashamed about having to use some disposables, we have to do what works for us.
