Pooing in a fresh nappy

Postby Mungo » Fri Jul 01, 2011 8:08 am

Sorry if this is a silly question, I'm new to the whole cloth nappy thing...

In the mornings my LO often poos about half an hour after I've put a clean nappy on him... is there any reason why I can't just change the fleece liner and keep the same nappy on? (We're talking solid weaned poos rather than runny breastfed poos so they're very, erm, self-contained).

I don't see why not. If the rest of the nappy is dry or just a little bit damp then I would put it back on

Absolutely, I did it loads of times when Rhys was still in nappies :giggle:

I'd keep the night nappy on for an extra 30 mins
ETA but we don't use liners so changing just the liner is never an option for us.

My LO poos every mornign without fail so I just leave his night nappy on until he has pooped, but I have in the past just changed the liner if no poop has gotten on the nappy

Yep I used to do this all the time with DD if no poop had got on the nappy.

I usually but Emi in a cheapy nappy in the morning cause she usually does a poo too. I don't mind her soiling a cheap one :hohoho:

We just swap the liners over all the time too, if the nappy is dry/has a dry outer.
Saves on the washing

DS is the same :giggle:

I usually change the whole nappy now because I have found they can still be a bit pongy.
