Wet bags for nursery?

Postby macmomo » Fri Dec 09, 2011 10:08 pm

Dd will be full time in nursery early in the new year at just over one. I'm going to use easyfits mostly, presumably 5 a day. Will I need just the 2 bags (one for clean and one for dirty)? Recommendations for where to buy? Why does everyone love monkey foot? Probably too expensive for us, but I'd like them to be well made and to last. Thanks

We only used 1 wetbag when James was in nappies at nursery.

He had a Thomas the tank engine back pack which in it he had
- 5 nappies for that day
- 5 wraps (we used fitteds & PUL wraps)
- change of clothes
- coat/ hat etc
- clean wet bag

At nursery they kept a roll of paper liners in his basket & used their own cleaning cloths for his bottom.

The dirty nappies went in the wetbag for us to bring home. I did need to have 2 bags in rotations, 1 in the wash, another at nursery.

MF ones are very good and reliable, but tbh for nursery I didn't want to send something so pretty & expensive incase it got lost or grew legs & walked! (ifykwim!)
I had 2 cotton bottoms/tommee tippee ones which after 3 years of use - are still working perfectly well!

Ill see if I can find the link for the bags for you

i make up the four days of nursery bags on sunday night as i often work away from home. so to save stress, i bought 4 large mf wetbags (one for each day she is there). they are expensive but the cheapo wetbags might break after so much wear and tear (they have rubbish zips). and the mf wetbags have an excellent resale value, even when knackered! we use easyfits (5x a day), reusable wipes and a tupperware with water in. we put all the nappy stuff, plus a change of clothes in one of those huge orange sainsburys bags for life. this is compared to the tiny dainty bags that all the other mums bring to nursery lol! but 5x nappies, wipes, tupperware and wetbag is a handful lol! xxx

I use Leslie's Boutique wet/dry bags. There's one section for clean nappies, and a PUL lined section for wet. I can fit 4-5 BGs in there.

I have this one Image.
That's if you want a cheap one and don't mind getting one from China.
It's from Alvababy and currently cost's 3 pound (free shipping).
It's not very big, I can get 5 pocket nappies in it.
They also have bag's with a print.

Tots Bots ones are great. Right balance of pretty and practical at a good price.
