Manufacturer: Holden’s Landing (US based WAHM)
Nappy Name: Bedbug Plus (HL BB+)
Type of Nappy: specialist heavy wetter night nappy (separate swap required)
Fastener: side snap poppers
Material: organic bamboo velour (OBV) outer (also available in fleece), hidden layer of organic cotton fleece, with a hidden 2 1/2 layer organic bamboo fleece core (can customise to position in front for boys, centre for girls or front and centre for gender neutral), and lined with OBV (or microfleece). BB+ come with a 3 part soaker system - 2 contoured full length lay-in soakers plus a mini lay-in soaker. I couldn’t determine from the nappy or the manufacturer’s website what material the soakers are, but this is a serious amount of absorbency.
Size: Medium/large (also available in Newborn/Small, Medium, Toddler and Junior)
Reliability: 9/10 (pretty much bomb-proof: well fitting, 2-part system)
Absorbency: 9/10
Cuteness: 8/10
Drying Speed: 9/10
Slimness: 8/10
Value for money: 8/10
These scores do take into account the type of nappy: for a specialist heavy wetter night nappy it is surprising slim; however, it isn’t a slim nappy! Again, for what it is, it is remarkably quick drying. Value for money? If it solves your night wetting problems, it’s a bargain!

Detailed Comments:
The nappy I’m reviewing was bought from CNT preloved but lightly used, attractively dyed in parrot colours with matching different coloured snaps – very soft and cute.
As a BB+, it came with 2 lay in t-shaped boosters, cleverly designed with one shorter than the other so you can customise how you use them to achieve maximum absorbency and slimmest fit: eg, you can use the wide parts of both the Ts at the front for front wetters, or put one at the front and the other at the back to spread the absorbency and even out the bulk. Again, the third mini lay-in booster can be positioned for absorbency.
The nappy is a very good fit for my dd – long in the rise, pre-crawling chunky thighs, skinny waist. At 6.5 months she fit the ML size in the second loosest thigh snap and the third loosest waist snap (there are 4 snaps at each fitting). Leg and waist elastic is soft but felt strong and hard wearing. My LO doesn’t poo at night but containment should be excellent (fitted, 2-part system); we had no wet leaks around the elastic.
Altogether the nappy was far less bulky than I had feared - surprisingly it fits underneath the wraps I use over day nappies. But you don’t buy a BB+ for the looks or slimness – did it work? Well, yes up to a point. It lasted longer than anything else I’ve tried (including size 3 Pampers), but I did still need to do a change in the night. However, to be fair my dd is 18lbs and late weaning, taking lots of milk before bed and 2 substantial milk feeds in the night. I am very confident that when she drops a night feed this nappy will be lasting the night. Also – significantly - I have not tried this nappy with a wool outer which should also really improve performance.
The BB+ dried after a sunny day on the line followed by a night in the airing cupboard, which is excellent for a heavy duty night nappy.
Overall, I am very pleased with this nappy. Apart from its cute appeal, it is comfortable and really very well designed. Although it is expensive (around US$40 dependent on size), if you buy new you can customise with several options (eg materials and placement of inner core), including personalised embroidery. I am confident it will last the night for us when we have dropped one night feed and swapped the PUL wrap for wool.
