Breastpads and csp info needed

Postby MissFrodo » Sat Nov 30, 2013 2:08 pm

So I'm thinking I'm gonna need breastpads and I wanna give csp a try as well, not directly aftyer birth but when the flow is back to regular iyswim.

What I want to know is how many do I need? And will it be ok to drypail the csp as well and wash them with the nappies every other day? Not really keen on having them in water with the girls around ;)

I dry pail my csp. Not sure now many you will need. It depends on your flow.

Not sure how many I have either. I used them at the end of my pp bleeding with no problems.
You can dry pail but I wouldn't put them in with your nappies to wash without a good rinse..... Or things will come out pink!

I dry pail throughout one day then if I m putting on a dark wash the next day I ll soak in cold water overnight (in an old ice cream tub with a lid sat in the bath so out of reach ;) ) dispose of water before putting in machine then give them a rinse in the machine before I add other things.
Hope that helps xx

@confusinglady I was thinking to give them a rinse in the machine together with the nappies....would that make everything pink? Don't want my little boy in pink nappies tbh :giggle:

@missfrodo - I ve not tried it myself but I remember @rufiesmama had problems with pink nappies?
I just rinsed before putting in with nappies when I did it this time, before that I didn t have nappies to wash ;)
Maybe someone else will know..... Xx

I dry pail mine with the nappies. I rinse as much off as I can under the tap until the water runs almost clear then just pop them in the wetbag with the nappies.
