choosing cloth....headache...

Postby mamarozi » Tue Jan 12, 2010 10:37 am

Since my last period got me totally itchy and sore, I started to look around for CSP. It's even harder then choosing cloth nappies for my LO.
Can you help?
I need an affordable pad, don't care much for the fancy coloring. I do like the idea of stay-dry upper layer and maybe wool underneath(instead of PUL, but PUL is also OK). Since I got Mirena IUD, my AF tends to be light, so I don't need thick pads, but need light pads and maybe liners.
I think menstrual cup is a great thing, used it a while ago, but it gave me much stronger cramps than without it, so a cup is not an option.
Any suggestions?

look at Luxury moon site first as that compares all the different sizes by different wahms. One persons medium might be anothers large.
There are other wahms that sell them too weenotions, puddlekins upsy daisy etc
decide on size then maybe get a cotton topped, fleece or minky topped - with pul or wool backing - if you have a couple of different types to start with you'll soon find some that suit you.

Hi

I run Luxury Moon -use *www.luxurymoon.com. As Jan said, the table comparing pads is at:

You could also consider a menstrual sponge as an internally worn products if you didnt get on with the cup - these are soft natural products that some women love: *http://luxurymoon.info/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59&products_id=326. I do also hope to be shortly stocking a tampon that is washable!

For some pads for you some options would be firstly more affordable: *http://luxurymoon.info/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3_74_128, *http://luxurymoon.info/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_108_113&products_id=344 -I will have some lighter versions of this back in stock soon. Also *http://luxurymoon.info/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3_74_130.

Then I have more expensive small pads (imported) eg *http://luxurymoon.info/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3_4_127 - the wool backed are slightly more expensive. Also *http://luxurymoon.info/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3_4_18 -these are all fleece backed

Hope that helps a bit.
