First time in CSP today... (TMI alert)

Postby Miss_Purple » Wed Jun 30, 2010 7:53 pm

So I've just got my 2nd AF after DD was born. 1st was at 6 months and was really heavy, and I felt uncomfortable all the time with tampons - they felt like they were falling out :-?

I picked up some Titches Stitches and JR CSP from here recently (all new, must be honest I haven't got my head round preloved CSP yet  ) so have been waiting for AF to return to give it a go.

They are very comfortable and I haven't had any problems with leaks so far, but it seems like most of the blood isn't actually getting as far as the pad iyswim, and instead when I go to the loo there is just a lot on the tissue.

Am I doing something wrong? I tend to have the same problem with disposable pads tbh which is why I've always used tampons in the past. Does anyone else find this?

That's why I use tampons. I like csp for liners towards the end of AF but not during the heavy stage.

Hmmn, I was hoping that wasn't the answer - I was sooo uncomfortable last time with tampons that I ended up using pads instead as I got so fed up (and I HATE disposable pads). Can you get cloth tampons?

You can get reuseable tampons. I hate tampons so always use liners, but it's pretty normal for there to always be flow inside as well as on the liner, so when you wipe there's is menstrual blood in your vagina. A tampon absorbs any straight away.

i would suggest trying a moon cup, i love them :D

i got the larger size at first (as ive had a child vaginally and thats what they advise) but it turned out it was too big for me as i contacted mooncup and they suggested i try the other size as it was preventing me from going for a wee and made me feellike i had a permanent uti.

they sent me the second one for free and it was a complete success :wine:

i do use csp for light days but heavy days are mooncup days :D

To be honest it's always been that way with pads for me...

If I wear closer fitting trousers/pants or sit down more - it happens less

I use a Mooncup and don't bother with pads, I find it much more convenient
