Recommend me a breast-pad please

Postby Shaunie » Wed Nov 10, 2010 8:50 am

My friend who's 20wks pg with #3 has said that she'd like to try washable breast pads this time as she never even knew they existed! I'm not any use because I used the avent or boots washable ones that made me feel cold, wet & they leaked but I still carried on with them because I didn't know any better

So ladies, I'd like to buy her some as a gift and would need something soft, comfy, absorbent and not too bulky so that they show through clothes.

Ta x

I bought, but never had cause to use Mother of Eden ones when I was pg with dd, made by the fuzzi people. They are PUL backed (leaked though all cloth ones with ds) and microfleece on the inside so feel dry.

I was going say Puddlekins too, although I don't have any of their breastpads they do look very pretty :giggle: ... and if they're half as good as the Puddlekins CSP then they'll definitely be a great choice :wine:

I have puddlekins ones and WN ones and i prefer the pk ones - wool backed over fleece as the fleece backed are bulkier IMO. I also prefer the teardrop shape to the round ones - we have both  BV is more comfortable here, i dont feel damp when wearing them and they seem to absorb more than the minkee topped ones

I looked at the Pk ones today. Would you say that the plain bamboo one's are ok then? Wasn't sure what was what TBH

That's interesting as I've just ordered some JR ones and she said she doesn't make them wool backed as they are more bulky. :-?
