What do you think of the way it set out

this is the way i was thinking of setting out bean's blancket there will be ribbons on the joins too.

This, not sure if it cause the backing is busy aswell.

Quilts can be either busy or plain I'd definitely say try a plain surrounding fabric, that's fleece isn't it that stripes? Maybe use that for the reverse? Maybe a red surround, or something that there isn't much of in the fabrics to make it contrasting, I wouldn't go for a blue as you'll find it hard to match it if there's so many different blues in the fabrics.
