Thanks Jen, it doesn't seem worth buying a sheep! I found 1kg of Merino for $40 which is pretty good :widesmile:

@docmaggoo just looking at your first efforts and the wool looks so soft, I'm worried mine is not as soft as it could be lol! I'm also not sure what to do with it - can you still use it if it is not plyed? mine is quite thick so worried that it will be too thick if I ply it although the 2nd bobbin will be thinner I think as I'm getting better!

Yours will be fine.
Just ply the first bobbin with the 2nd bobbin.
The thinner yarn will create a lovely textured effect when plyed with the thicker yarn.

I think you are doing brilliantly!!
