How do you keep all your sewing patterns?

Especially all the PDF printed ones?

Currently all the massive fishstick type ones are rolled up in a poster posting tube, and then I trace off what I need onto thin tracing fabric stuff and they are in a poly pocket folder. But I honestly don't like this system but have no idea what else I can do.

Umm...OK, I don't sew really but what is a fishstick pattern? I've seen it mentioned before but thought it applied to a particular garment? X

My huge Fishsticks ones I just fold and keep in a box file. The ones I use most often I trace onto paper and then stick the paper on to card. It makes the cutting easier, as I just rotary cut around the card (weighing it down with books to keep it in place). The card just lives on a shelf in a cupboard (I have a floor to ceiling sewing cupboard, which is handy!). But you could always stick them in a carrier bag or something over a coathanger and pop them in a wardrobe?

Thanks sim :)

Why are they so big? Is it something unique to them? X

They are PDFs with multiple sizes you print out and assemble - think 4x5 a4 sheets or more...
