@clothmama - the felt food was quite easy once I got going. Ive sewn these by hand because i thought i would have more control that using the sewing machine.
I used a pattern for the banana and apple - but then went freestyle with the peas and carrot once Id got the hang of it.

The blue/seafoam coloured hand spun is similar to a DK weight once I'd plyed two singles together.
My latest purple handspun is thinner than sock yarn!
I can spin singles very thin now - but they chunk up when plyed!
