OK we think we have found that but it doesn't appear to come out! J is on a mission to try to sort it out so haven't gone back to starting again yet! I have an old Brother Lock 760 which is meant to be a solid old workhorse but if he doesn't improve he'll be going to the work house!!!

What do you have Amanda?

Just a 'el cheapo' brother, but considering how much I use it, and abuse it, its been fabulous to learn on.

@clothmama how are you going? Have you figured it out yet?

I only use 3 threads on mine with one needle.

This looks good to me is it?

What is this, we are most confused, there is no mention or picture in my manual!

Hi Bernadette, thanks for asking. I guess that is one less thing to worry about :giggle: We are going through everything, J has pulled it apart and giving it a service!

Don't mind me I worked it out, it was right at the back of the manual!

Looks much better to me! did you sort the picture? that's the stitch finger you've got pulled out, and then the wiggly thing that the number 2 thread slots into.

I did I htink! They call it a stitch tongue but presume it is the same thing! It says not to touch it unless doing narrow / rolled hemming but I'm not sure which way it should be - towards the needles or away? The manual is sooooooo bad!!!

That little bit was great and then I started down the other side and it all went pear shaped and broke etc. Hoping what Mr is doing will fix it!

Its the same thing, It should be in, like under the needle. you take it out for rolled edges.
