Jamie Jumper - 1st attempt!

Postby clothmama » Tue Apr 08, 2014 6:08 am

So after 2 days of battles with that stupid machine that shall not be named I gave up and did this on my sewing machine. I'm pretty happy with the result  :

Thanks Lacey  A few little things I'll do differently next time (like move the top button right to the top) and I think it will be a softer seam / better result with an overlocker instead of the machine but I'm pretty pleased with it

Need to order in some girls prints now I know what @clothsister is having :giggle: :giggle:

Looks amazing!!!

I need to be more daring and have a go at sewing knit fabrics.
How easy was it @clothmama?
Or should I start with something simpler first??

Just jump in - I did :giggle:

It wasn't too bad (once I realised I hadn't stuck the pattern pieces together properly  !), the little arms and legs were hard to get the ribbing on to as they were too small to go over the machine so that was fiddly but overall I'm pretty pleased with it. I think with the overlocker and a few more it will be a lot quicker than it was this time!

@clothmama looks adorable. Great job!

Where did you get your knit fabric from? I doubt anywhere over here? Also, being nosey, which pattern did you use?

It is the Jamie Jumper pattern from Fishsticks. I honestly can't remember where I got the fabric from, I have had it a long long time since Louis was little.
