@docmaggoo what pattern did you use for the hat you made James recently? I swear I have chosen the most stupid pattern ever... :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

I agree. I bought one from Stitchwerx on Etsy which is okay to use.

I'm just glad I did a test run with it first. I can easily adapt it, but I'll have to ditch some of the fabric I've already cut out to make the seams on one side bigger so I can hide the seams and then also make the inside fit and not have all creases everywhere.... v.v. annoying

I used the Oliver and s one.

@gilbertandmartha

I agree it's not the easiest of patterns and the dino one I made for James last year was much easier - but unfortunately the largest size on that pattern is too small this year so ninjas to find another one.

Which bit are you struggling with?

@docmaggoo

Its not that I'm struggling, but its just that to me it seems like you have to cut one fabric out smaller or larger than the other, so it sits inside each other nicely. And then when you attatch the brim (unless I'm being stupid which I could be because I just skimmed over the instructions) the seam shows. I just cut one side on the brim smaller and then folded the larger side over to hide the seam. If that makes sense.

Maybe I'll make my own pattern and publish it WITH PROPER INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!!!!!
