My DIY PUL nappy wrap / cover journey!

Postby clothmama » Mon Aug 04, 2014 7:40 am

Here is my first attempt :yahoo: :yahoo: I'm really pleased how it has turned out (even if it did take forever!). It is pretty much exactly the same size as a Mother Ease Rikki XS so I won't make any more that small, I'll look for a small or small / med. pattern next  .

Before I put all the poppers on (ha ha just spotted a bump at the bottom :hohoho: :pregnant: )

The inside, I change the pattern I originally used to round the corners and added a reinforcing section for under the poppers, as it turned out this is too big as I didnt' bother putting an extra row of snaps to make it snap down as it is already tiny!

Fold over elastic (FOE) is interesting :lookround: to sew with :sewing: , I think I'll get better it was obviously my first go! I'll also start it in a different place as it is too obvious where it is! Over all I'm thrilled with my first PUL wrap :yahoo:

Thanks Louise!

Just looked and you can't really see them but I did put gussets in too! I'll see if I've got another pic!

I'm impressed.

I made one for Eleanor when she was tiny... Harder than it looks and foe is very tricky!
