Bedwetter bed mat

Postby Rufies mama » Sun May 17, 2015 10:44 am

My 2 year old wears a nappy at night (pt'd in the day) but she's dry every morning so as of last night she's gone commando. I want to make a bed protector to prevent her having accidents in our bed (bed sharing). What fabrics would you use? I have PUL backed minky (seems a bit of a waste though), towels, zorb II, shrunk wool blanket, plain minky and bamboo velour. I'm thinking perhaps just the PUL with zorb II on top.. Then perhaps lay the wool blanket on top beneath the sheet to prevent sweating..? Wwyd?
Opinions appreciated. :)

I have a couple for Lola, I use pul on the bottom, then a couple of old cotton receiving blankets. I put it under her regular sheet, so it doesn't matter what it looks like, and it doesn't feel odd!

I've used smaller ones as "puddle pads" for in the car.
Pul bottom, old Terry towels/ prefolds or the zorb that you have got. Then a BV top.

They don't need to be pretty, just functional

Ooh! I do have some prefolds I could use. I hadn't thought of that. Thank you. My only concern is that the PUL minky I have is too nice to use... Perhaps I'll buy some plain..
