In a flap about dying.

HELP PLEASE

I seem to be getting all confused and in a flap about the task of dying

I have my garment, the procion dye and some plastic cups

Now what?? I have googled and read a few instructions but they all differ slightly and I am getting confused...

I want a LWI/scrunch dyed effect (not solid colours and I would like to do 2 colours together)

can someone please spell it out nice and simple for me.... pleeeaaassseeeeeeee.....................

Have you soaked your garment in fixer? Or have you added it to the dyes?

soak garments in soda ash

squeeze out excess (WEAR GLOVES)

put in a tight ish tub/jug

mix dye with water (About 1 tsp 2 200ml water)

pour colours on the top in patches so it's totally covered in both colours

leave for ar hr or so

rinse cold

wash hot

Hanna - thank you, that is exactly what I needed I was getting confused about the fixer, some site said do it first, some said mix it in with the dye, some said do it at the end, some said heat it, blah blah blah

I will do it tomorrow now

soak garments in soda ash - how much soda ash to how much water? hot or cold?

wash hot (each item seperately or can I do a few together? even if different colours? )

cup of soda ash to about 2 litres of water

where ever you want to rinse, I normally rinse by hand but if I'm feeling lazy I sometimes do it in the machine!

if colours are similar do them together, but be really careful with red, think this is a given
