I have taught myself how to :knit: a basic stitch so............................

I have decided that i am going to :knit: loads of squares in different colours and make a blanket for harry! ( ambitious i know but i want it to be big enough for him for when he goes in a big boy bed!)

Lovely! :D Have you joined Ravelry? Its a great site (you'll soon be addicted to knitting  ) and you could search for different kinds of blanket squares to knit, both for variation on the lovely handmade blanket, so you can learn and practise different stitches, and also so you dont get bored knitting a huge blanket.

My first "cot blanket" turned out to be barely big enough for the pram, as I only got to 16 squares before I gave up with boredom!

What kind of yarn are you using? I have some acrylic yarn in lots of colours I was planning to list FFP postage if i thought anyone wanted it.

Love that idea  Might do something similar with all the scraps of wool left from all my :knit: projects.
