Thanks again Frances ;) Still seems like a handy thingie though I doubt it will solve the problem I have with the binding.

What I use binding for is to fold it again and sew it so I have a kind of ribbon in the same fabric as the rest.
Because it's so small it always gets bobbly sewing it but that has nothing to do with making binding with or without the maker.
Need to think of why I want it in the first place :oops: before expecting things that just won't make a difference.
I'm gonna try using ribbons that are already made and see how that turns out ;)

There was a link about how to do it without a binding maker a while back - using a pin on your ironing board... I'll look it out for you...

I bought a binding makere at the local sewing shop for £5 and I find it much easier to get it even than the pin on thew ironing board method.
