mmm the 185k... is the UK model and was the replacement for the 99's. Its a heavy duty straight stitch machine, top loading bobbin machine. It wasnt really till they got to the 200's that they are really worth any money. If it works, keep it. as for leather work etc it would be more use than selling it for not much. It has metal gears, so it will never wear out, which is why its a heavy duty machine, alot of the ones later, started to use plastic, which for domestic machines, we still use now.. but plastic has become a technology all on its own ;) THere is one on ebay atm for 35, I'd watch it and see what happens.. if it sells .. stick it on. ;)

Just what i thought! From freecycle too :wine: shes coming round to my house and showing me how it works. And to top it off, her daughter is pregnant and interested in cloth nappies, so shes coming over too! :giggle:
