Would it be a good first sock project to knit a

xmas stocking?

I'm thinking it'd be a bit easier as it's bigger and therefore not so fiddly. What do you reckon?

Yes! But I didn't get any further than an xmas stocking onto socks and you only have to knit one as well. I hate knitting in pairs really. It's nice as well as you keep them forever. I have a spare skein of babylonglegs Christmas is coming for our next LOs stocking. Then I will have a pair.

I've seen some lovely ones on ravelry, I really fancy giving one of them a go.
