i have put a second net curtain string (if that's the right word) up with the black out stuff on and just pull it across the window then close the bedroom curtains which I've lined with blackout stuff and hey presto.

I use the stick and sew velcro. Works a treat. I take the fabric down every morning, takes a quick tug - but hasn't damaged the fabric of pulled off the wall velcro. It's as firm as when i put it up (when the clocks changed).

Tin foil all the way in our house!
we've just started using a groclock to get DS to stay in bed or in his room playing before wakeup time - 5.30 wake up calls from the toddler were getting ridiculous (esp when the 3 month old sleeps till gone 9am!!)
