Colour-block raglan

Postby mama2boyz » Sat Jun 11, 2011 8:35 am

OK, he doesn't know he's wearing it but DS is wearing one of my creations!!! :yahoo:

I love, love, LOVE the colour-block, curved raglan from Ottobre!! The only thing is that it's runs a bit short IMO but I'm cutting out more charity shop t-shirts to make one for my DS2.

Some of my previous creations for him have been refused - not even tried on in fact  Just FTR it's not that he objects to homemade clothes, it's just that he's very picky about what he wears

Thanks for the comments

The pattern is from the 02/2005 Ottobre magazine which I ordered from https://www.ottobredesign.com/subscription/single.php?PHPSESSID=315e11329b96e52b2937e033d23a2b71
The magazine costs about £10 incl postage and contains 40 patterns + instructions in loads of sizes.

I really, REALLY recommend Ottobre patterns. They are a joy to sew and the instructions albeit sparse teach you very good techniques which I haven't come across before. The patterns aren't on horrible tissue paper (can't stand the stuff) but on thick paper so do need tracing off but it's not as scary as I thought it would be. I've never been able to sew from tissue paper patterns but I can do Ottobre ones easily.
