Serge or straight stitch on nappy

Postby jan3182001 » Sun Jul 20, 2008 9:33 pm

Is there any point in using an Overlocker/Serger when sewing up a nappy? Neither the fleece or pul will fray.
Just using a straight stich is easier on ordinary machine and if you make a mistake can be easily corrected.

does serging the seams have any advantage that any one knows of?

I always use a straight stitch and mine are fine - never had any problems with seams.
