Dinosaur Project for 2.5 y/o?

Hubby has bought me a sewing machine!!!! :wine:

So excited!

I'm going to get practicing on stuff at home - but wanted to get some dinosaur fabric & make something for my dino mad 2 1/2 year old. He's obsessed!

Inspire me with ideas (keeping it simple!!!!)

Plus - where you lovely ladies get your fabric from - I want somewhere reliable.
Searching google - just bombards me with millions of sites & I don't know who's best?

Look on here for websites - viewtopic.php?f=29&t=48560 - plus have a look on the Luscious Little Co-Ops group on Yahoo - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/llscoop/ - I'm organising a co-op from the US site www.fabric.com which ends tomorrow evening, apply to join and I'll add you. There's lots (and I do mean LOTS!) of childrens fabrics in the quilting section, esp some dino ones :wink:

As for projects, why not start by finding some plain tee's and doing some applique squares of fabric on them, something simple and easy, good for practising stitches etc and brightening up boring tee's

Could even add a letter on to them.

I've applied to join the group & I'll definitely have a look at the co-op!

Love your idea of appliquing onto a plain tshirt - I had thought a similar idea my self!
